Privacy
Short version: we set one cookie, we store no personal data, and we run no analytics. There is nothing to opt out of beyond not voting.
What we store
Voting sets a single cookie, pp_voter, containing a random token. It is HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax, it lasts one year, and its only purpose is to stop one visitor voting twice in the same poll. It is not linked to your identity and it is not shared.
When you vote we also store a coarse hash derived from your IP address, used only to rate-limit automated voting. The hash is not reversible to an address by us, and it is not combined with anything else.
What we do not do
No analytics, no advertising, no third-party scripts, no social embeds, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking. The page you are reading makes no network request to any domain other than this one. Outbound links to sources are ordinary links; we do not wrap them in a tracking redirect.
Your choices
Do not vote and no cookie is set. Clear cookies and the voting token is gone, along with the record of your vote. Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing to export or erase beyond that. Requests about privacy can go to editor@pneumonicplague.news.
